The Nordisch Battery or Master Belt for car assembly is a mounting aid with adapted power supply. Especially in door installation or for the emergency strategy in the final inspection, it provides short-term availability within the permissible onboard network voltage. The ergonomic belt is designed for one or more Li-ion batteries, which are slid onto a battery adapter and secured.
Essentially, the Master Belt is used for testing and adjusting window positions in door installation, whereby up to 4 adaptable plug adapters - suitable for the respective vehicle model - can be connected simultaneously. The power supply by the battery (optionally between 14.4-30V) is connected to the belt via a line to the control electronics with protective circuit. These regulate and monitor independently of the battery voltage and the power demand (max. 10A, regulated onboard network voltage between 12 - 13 VDc) simultaneously max. current and voltage limits.
Using a battery belt allows the user to move wirelessly and freely, without the need for a fixed system with a power connection. When developing the battery belt, great emphasis was placed on flexibility, functionality, ergonomics, and scratch protection. This is particularly useful in vehicle assembly, where work is often done in tight or hard-to-reach spaces.
Depending on the battery capacity and, of course, the frequency of use, the Master Belt is excellent for use over a longer period due to its ergonomics.
If the battery is empty, it signals the necessary battery change and activates a signal LED as an indication. If the batteries are empty, they can be replaced quickly and easily.
When deciding on the battery type (manufacturer / voltage / capacity), the customer model can be adopted as desired due to the variety of Nordisch adapter solutions.
Overall, the Nordisch Battery Belt is a very useful tool for car production. It increases efficiency, mobility, shortens work duration, and is indispensable, especially as an emergency strategy.
